Mallaika is here

the Day was 19th dec n the year 2005- Vivek had his phd defense this day n became Dr. Vivek.
As per german traditions he was presented with this special hat, on this hat his colleagues had pasted a small BMW(his fav car) wishing him luck for his future.


The day is 9th Feb and the year 2007. Vivek's dream got fulfilled n he bought his baby BMW.

So guys this weekend was very happening for us. On Friday after work Vivek collected Mallaika (yes thats what our baby is called). We were invited for dinner at our friends Jenish n Jhanvi's place, so they got to see the car first. Then on our way back we suddenly decided to go to basel city to visit our Basel family (our lovely friends there). It was so much fun, manjunath organised a puja for the car with prasad arranging for the special samagri (coconut n stuff) on spot without any advance notice. The best part was all of us standing out in the cold in the street, n Manjunath chanting mantras in Sanskrit n some people who crossed by wondering if all of us were mad or what..
Then we had a tea session at Sachin n abhi's place n went home. thanx to all our wonderful friends for sharing this occasion with us. Will post the photos of puja soon.

Saturday - Saturday we went for our first drive n drove down to Zürich with navratna and visited our another friends Brinda n Srijit at their place, It was our first visit to their place as well, was a nice tea n coffee session with loads of chit chat,
n after coming back around 8 Reji n Sudip came over n we had a dinner with them.

Sunday- Morning was spent in talking with family and some of our close friends in germany n singapore, then vivek spent some time with Mallaika reading the manuals n getting the hang of all the features. Then we went down to Sudip n reji's new home n helped them in settling some stuff..

So i guess was a nice n happening weekend for us.
