Surprise Surprise

As this was the 30th bday for Vivek I wanted to make it extra special for him, so decided onto a surprise bday party. Now wd love to share how it all went, Please have a little patience coz this is going to be a looong post but i do wanna share it all with u...

Around 2 weeks back I created a special emial id vivek30bdayparty and then sent invitations to all the basel friends n requested them to manage to leave their offices early. Now as vivek didnt know abt it he wanted me to invite everyone for the actual party on saturday, so another set of invitations were also sent last week!...Then comes the actual bday, vivek wanted to take half day off n take me out with him, i am always keen to have him take a half day n go out but this time i told him hey no half day pls take full day off latre for our anni, my loving hubby, he readily agreed to that, then he tells me ok maybe not half day but then he could come home around 5 pm and spend evening with me n then go out for dinner, i had to again persuade him pls no work full day n meet me out just for dinner, its not nice to leave office early ;-).hmmmm

Then came the DDay, I had cooked some stuff one day before so had to hide it right at the back of regrigerator so that he cdnt locate it by mistake while opening the refrigerator, and the other stuff all drinks n food stuff hid it in the Cellar. Luckily Vivek went off to work early and I started cooking for the party and put up some decoartion on the walls, now comes another phone call from vivek n he tells me that his office has gifted him a very big bouquet so he would like to come home first n then go out with me for dinner instead of carrying that heavy thing all around with us, i am telling him no man .. we will meet in the centre and i will carry the flowers ..i just looove flowers n wont mind doing that he doesnt have to come home. Meanwhile one of my frens Jhanvi came over n i got dressed n left home to meet Vivek n go out for dinner with him ;-)..When i was out, all the other friends came home n waited for us to give the surprise...

Well i met vivek n then told him that i wasnt feeling too well n was not keen to have dinner outdside (i guess the first ever time when i must have said no to eating out), so i proposed that we shd have coffee at some nice place, go home n order food from outside..He now was feeling a little dejcted n even proposed that maybe we cd go to some fren's place in the centre n order pizza n eat with them, i said no honey i am really not feeling upto it n we will definitely celebrate on weekend, so now we took the tram home n can u beleive it 2 of our frens board the same tram to our place, so i have to conjure up another excuse to give them time to reach our place before us..so now comes the suggestion - hey lets take a longer route n walk down more so that we get some fresh air before reaching home, n thats what we did! so now we reached home n entered

What vivek sees on entering is a candle burning the living room, i see his face n know ok he's abt to give me a big scolding of the lifetime for leaving a burning candle in home when i am not around, anyways was luckily saved as all frens came out form different rooms n sang Happy birthday to You....Well Vivek was sooo Happy, seeing his happy face made all the efforts worth it!

Then as usual was the cake cutting, champagne opening, wine drinking, eating n little dancing time. Vivek declared that this was his best ever Birthday! I was so happy. Here i would like to say special thanx to all our dear friends who made this surprise possible :-)...
