(Noble Ground) Adelboden ;-)

This Weekend we went to Adelboden a small place up in Berner oberland for 2 nights stay with our 22 other indian friends. We had rented a chalet there and had divided us into groups to manage the cooking. We reached on friday and my group had the turn of preparing dinner. After dinner we had a lovely antakshaari and phatebaaji session till late in the night.
Next morning it was simply lovely to be woken up with the sounds of swiss cowbells ringing all over and the view the lovely sunrise admist mountains. After a simply super breakfast of dosas and sambhar and aloo kachodis we started with our trekking trip. We went up the mountains to a little waterfall. On our way we met Mr. Bull who was adament not to allow us use the way through his pastures. Then after our return we had an antakshari round sitting on benches outside organised by Vivek, followed by a very nice Treasure hunt. For the treasure hunt we really applaud the organisers- Abhilasha, Murali n Sachin, the clues were really great - vivek n his group won that. Now it was dusky outside and becoming a little cold, so it was grill time! We had a wonderful BBQ for both veggies and non veggies followed by dinner of yummy pao bhaji followed by a show by Navratna and singing. In between, all of us had a try at kicker playing football and table tennis and watching the lovely star studded night..luckily the milky way was also very clear that night.

then came the last day:(..The breakfast team was very nice they recycled all the leftover stuff and served a very yummy and healthy breakfast with sprouts n lassi. Then came the cleaning part. Hats off to all the members of our group who managed to clean up everything and bring back the place in spick n span order before the handover of the keys in just 1.5 hrs.

So it was time to come back, on our way back we along with abhilasha and kokil n varun stopped at Spiez and have a refreshing coffee and icecream break.
